Apple has introduced the iPhone Air, the thinnest and lightest iPhone ever, combining a sleek new design with powerful performance and innovative camera systems.
Built with a grade 5 titanium frame, the iPhone Air is both elegant and strong. Its back is protected with Ceramic Shield 2, offering triple the scratch resistance, while the front cover delivers enhanced durability and reduced glare. At just 5.6mm thick, it’s the slimmest iPhone yet, featuring a 6.5-inch Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion up to 120Hz for smooth visuals.
Powered by Apple’s latest chips — A19 Pro, N1, and C1X — the iPhone Air is Apple’s most power-efficient iPhone to date, offering all-day battery life through a redesigned internal architecture and software optimizations. The Action Button and Camera Control provide quick access to functions and photography features.
Advanced Camera Systems
The iPhone Air introduces a 48MP Fusion Main camera, effectively giving users four lenses in one, while the new 18MP Center Stage front camera offers wide-angle selfies, AI-driven group shots, and ultra-stable 4K HDR video. The iPhone Air also supports Dual Capture, allowing simultaneous recording from front and rear cameras, and advanced Photographic Styles with improved color and detail.
Video & Audio Capabilities
Video recording reaches 4K at 60fps with Dolby Vision, featuring Action mode for smooth movement and Spatial Audio for immersive sound. Users can adjust audio post-capture, reduce ambient noise, and minimize wind interference.
Connectivity & Software
The iPhone Air adopts an eSIM-only design, freeing internal space to maintain its thin, lightweight form. eSIM provides greater flexibility, security, and seamless connectivity, supporting over 500 carriers globally.
Running iOS 26, iPhone Air offers a refreshed interface with Liquid Glass design, Apple Intelligence for live translation, and enhancements to core apps like Messages, FaceTime, and Phone.
Design & Finish Options
iPhone Air will be available in space black, cloud white, light gold, and sky blue, combining durability with style. Pre-orders begin September 12, with availability starting September 19.
“The iPhone Air is impossibly thin and light, yet packed with advanced features like a versatile 48MP camera, Center Stage front camera, and all-day battery life,” said John Ternus, Apple’s SVP of Hardware Engineering. “It’s a major leap in design and engineering, made possible through Apple innovation and silicon.”
